We always have our teapot mat on hand, with its beautifully crafted aesthetic and function to protect surfaces from the heat of teapots and kettles. Handwoven from rice straw by skilled artisans in Tohoku, northern Japan using traditional techniques combined with contemporary designs. 



Straw crafts have been in a part of everyday living in Japan from ancient times as necessity tools, decorations and for sacred purposes.
